About Clean Below? Good to Go

Clean Below? Good to Go is brought to you by a collective of councils and government organisations working together to stop the spread of invasive marine pests in the upper half of New Zealand’s North Island.

Members are Northland Regional Council, Auckland Council, Waikato Regional Council, Bay of Plenty Regional Council, Gisborne District Council, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, as well as the Department of Conservation and Biosecurity New Zealand.

The 'Clean Below? Good to Go' campaign was developed when it became apparent that marine pests were a genuine and credible threat to our coastal ecosystems. As marine pests are primarily spread by travelling vessels, an inter-regional approach was necessary, with a focus on education and collaboration.
